Our bike tour is taking you into the central region of Mongolia will be provided  with the chance to visit a local shepherds families and explore the nomadic lifestyle.

This trip gives you the unique chance to see the virgin nomadic culture and lifestyle, saved only here until this days. Shamanism and Lamaism are both contributed to nomadic traditions and are growing up nowadays.

On the edge of the 21st century  Mongolia remains to be one of the few countries to retain its ancient culture  and traditions and the nomadic lifestyle plays an important role in creating a general perception about Mongolia

A visit to the ancient capital of Mongolia – Karakorum town will place you in the spot where ‘Genghis Khan the Great’  launched his mighty cavalry. You visit one of Mongolia’s largest and most impressive examples of Buddhist architectu - the Erden Zuu Monastery. It is one of the most glorious examples of the revival of the Buddhist religion in Mongolia, where the temples are slowly and lovingly being restored and are once again teaming with chanting monks.

Your tour will also be highlighted with sightseeing in the modern capital city of Mongolia  as Ulaanbaatar including famous and largest monasteries (Gandan and others) and some museums.

A clean and wild nature, reach landscape of pine and birch forest, mountains, steppes covered by green grass and flowers. Hospitality people, friendly nomad’s families will meet us en-route.

Itinerary

1 day Arrival to Ulaanbaatar (UB). Day in UB. Evening train to Erdenet town
Arrival to UlaanBataar early in the morning (plane from Moscow). Meet with guide. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation and re-freshing. Breakfast. A.m. City tour (2h). Visit Sukhbaatar Square and then Gandan Monastery, the incredible 100 feet tall gold-plated statue of God Avaloki Teshvara-Megjid Janraisag, visit Zaisan Hill and historical Memory Monument, a good overview of city from the top, walking through Yung Buddha Park. Free time in the city. Evening train to Erdenet (dep. time at 07-30 p.m.). Overnight in a train. Hotel. (BL)


2 day Arrival to Erdenet town – drive – start point of cycling tour – cycling from Bulgan to Uran Togoo national park
Arrival to Erdenet by train early in the morning. Breakfast to be provided in the city in local café. Then drive to Bulgan city by bus (70 km).. Lunch provided en-route (lunch boxes style). Start point of bike tour. Cycling to "Uran Togoo" mountains (45 km). This area of Uran Togoo mountain is natural park attractive by its specific structure has little trees along low back of Ikh Tulber mountains. Good clean nature and very beautiful view. Overnight in Ger camp. (BLD)
Drive distance – 70 km
Cycling (maximum in this day) – 40 ..70km.
Please note, each days cycling distance depends of group conditions and your wishes, road and weather conditions etc. People can use escorting truck/vehicle drops people to the camp site from any route points.


3 day Cycling. Uran Togoo –Orkhon river – drive to Ogii Nuur
Breakfast. Cycling from "Uran Togoo" mountain to Orkhon River (55 km). Hills and a small passes riding over. Steppes and forest. Orkhon is longest river that flows on Mongolia territory for 1124 km. The river is reach of fish and is an ideal place for fishing Taimen, Pike, Carp and others. Lunch to be provided en-route. P.m. driving to "Ugii" Lake by bus (110 km). Ogii lake is located in the valley of the Orkhon River, to the north of the main Khangai ridge in the Arctic Ocean Drainage Basin. Mesotrophic, freshwater lake of 2,510 ha with an extensive alluvial area of grassland, river, channels, pools and marshes at the western end. Paradise of bird watching and fishing. Very important breeding and staging area for a variety of waterfowl birds, particularly for ducks, geese and swans. Ger Camp. (BLD)

4 day Cycling. Uran Togoo – Tsetserleg – Ihtamir settlement
Breakfast. Cycling through mountains to Orkhon river valley (45km). Drive to
Tsetsterleg town (90km.). Lunch – boxes. P.m. cycling to Ihtamir settlement (30km.), to Taikhar Rock. Having a volcanic origination, this bizarre 18 meter tall rock is stood in the middle of nowhere. The beautiful valley of the Tamir river, where Taikhar Rock found its home, is a beloved place for local nomads to camp for summer time. Ger Camp. (BLD)

5 day Drive Ihtamir – Hanui river - Chuluut river valley – cycling to Tsagaan lake
Breakfast. Drive Ihtamir - Hanui River –confluence with Chuluut river (120 km) with lunch breaks on the Gichgene River.
Cycling to Terhyin Tsagaan settlement and to Tsagaan Nuur lake (80km.). Upon arrival, accommodation and rest in Ger camp. Surrounded by extinct volcanoes, Terkhiin Tsagaan is one of the most beautiful lake in Mongolia. Being elevation at an altitude of 2060 meters, the lake occupies an area of over 300 square kilometers. This astonishingly beautiful crystal clear water lake is renowned for its fish and bird life. Pike is found in plenty and bird species including ruddy duck and great cormorant are common. Free time and rest. Ger Camp. (BLD)

6 day Cycling daily-round Tsagaan lake, visit Khongo Volcano
Breakfast. All day exploring the lake and cycling towards Khorgo Volcano. The dead volcano of Horgo is stood on the Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur Lake. There is a huge volcanic crater, about 200 meters wide and 100 meters deep. A large solidified lava formation on the southern slope of Horgo is trickily called “Basalt ger”. Visit nomad family with yaks.
Return to Ger camp. P.m. Optional extra horseback riding. Ger Camp. (BLD)
Hiking – 16 km (or Cycling – up to 24km,) return way


7 day Drive Tsagaan lake - Tsetserleg town area – cycling to Hot Springs Tsenkheriyn Ger-camp site.
Breakfast. After breakfast driving to the East-South until Tsetserleg town area. (280km).
Cycling to South crossing over some small mountain ridges (45 km)
Free time. Optional walking visit to a small Buddhist Monastery located closer. Ger Camp. (BLD)

8 day Tsenkheriyn springs – Tsagaan Sum valley
After breakfast start cycling for whole thought mountain and grassland paths to Tsaagaan Sum valley. Ger Camp. (BLD)

9 day Cycling to Orkhon Waterfall
After breakfast start cycling towards Orkhon water fall. (45km). Orkhon Waterfall was formed about 20,000 years ago by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The waterfall cascades from an impressive height of 23m / 25 yards with a width of 10m / 11 yards. The scenery from deep inside the gorge is breathtaking and is a perfect place for photo opportunity of nature and wildlife. Upon arrival free time and rest. Ger Camp. (BLD)

10 day Cycling Orkhon Waterfall - HARHORIN

11 day Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery. Cycling to Hogno Khaan mountain range
Early in the morning visit (2h) Erdene Monastery. The symbolic ruins of Kharakhorum (Harhorin), monumental walls (400 m of length) with over hundred Buddhist stuppas, surround. It is the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Erdene Zuu Monastery was built in 1586. In 1792 it housed 62 temples and 10,000 lamas. Since 1990 it has become an active monastery again. The old ages turtles carved from the stone marked the boundaries of the complex.
Kharkhorin (located 400 km. to the West from UB) is an ancient capital of the Mongolian Unified Empire back to the XIII century. The Erdene Zuu Monastery was re-built back in 1586 using not a single nail. Kharakhorum as Mongolian ancient capital was founded in 1220 by ‘Genghis Khan the Great ‘at the bank of the Orkhon river. It was situated the crossroads of the Great Silk Road. The city was founded as the Mongol Empire governed until Khubilai Khaan was moved it to Beijing to China
A.m. Continue cycling to Hogno Khaan mountain range (110km). Lunch en-route.
This is a picturesque area with steppes, mountains, forests and mineral water sources.
Also we will visit unique sands dunes located between mountains ridges and named as “Mini Gobi”. En-route, to be provided short stopping at varies of traditional Mongolian‘s ‘bolo’ of stone-men. Ger Camp. (BLD)

12 day Whole day at Hongo Khaan. Visit Ovgon Monastery. Rest.
Breakfast. The whole day exploring of Hogno Khan Mountains area by bicycle and an easy walking. Visit to Ovgon monastery by bike and a hiking to the ruins. In the 17th century, the 1st Bogdo Ghegheen (holy king) Zanabazar of Mongolia, initiated the construction of more temples and finally the Monastery was established in Khognokhaan mountain. Zanabazar dedicated this monastery to one of his teachers, Erdene-Tsorj, and eventually the complex became known as Erdene Khamba Khiyd. At the further site was built the so-called Ovgon Temple (Old Man’s Temple), supposedly a much scaled-down model of the Potala in Lhasa. Relax at the camp. Ger Camp. (BLD)

13 day Cycling and drive Hakhorin towards HUSTAI National Park
After Breakfast we continue cycling (45km) to Hustai National Park. Drive (240 km.) to Ger camp. Upon arrival - free time for relax. At night guided visit national and observed
