Trekking around Lake Baikal, 5 days

Itinerary

1 day Arrival in Irkutsk. Transfer with guide to Listvianka settlement (70 km) located at the Baikal Lake coast near Angara river source. Accommodation at the hotel "Baikal". Additional breakfast in case of early arrival. Rest. Listvianka settlement walking tour. Lunch and dinner.

2 day Breakfast. Start of trekking tour. Path goes though pass of the Primorsky mountain range and then goes down to the Baikal Lake coast. Packed lunch en route. Settinf up a tent camp at the forest glade. Dinner at the camp fire. Total distance of a day trekking 18 km.

3 day Breakfast. In half an hour group goes through picturesque village located just at the Baikal Lake coast. Then path goes through flat place along the Lake Baikal. The only serious obstacle is detour of "Scriper" rock. Trekking to the Kadilny cape. Overnight in tents. Dinner at camp fire.

4 day Breakfast. The last part of trekking itinerary: to the Goloustnoye village (founded in 1673 in the place of cossack sentry post near former ferry over the Lake Baikal to Posolskoye village. This ferry was a part of "The Great Tea Road" from China to Europe). Lunch en route. Transfer to Irkutsk (about 2 hours). Accommodation at the hotel "Irkutsk". Dinner at the hotel.

5 day Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
